How to be (remotely) Healthy at Starbucks

I try to stick to a Paleo diet. My junior year of high school, I lost 30 pounds while following a Paleo diet, and my skin cleared up almost totally. Paleo changed my life.

However, I have some habits that I absolutely refuse to kick and one of those is a daily trip to Starbucks. I have now explored the Starbucks menu so thoroughly, I am an expert on how to get your morning fix, and also stay dairy/gluten free.

Food:

In a world of muffins and banana breads, how can you possibly be healthy at Starbucks? Well - Here’s the secret!

The “Egg and Cheese” Protein Bistro Box:

While it’s not 100% “Paleo-Approved” the Starbucks protein box is quick and easy. I do not usually eat the cheese triangles that come inside, but the box comes with apples and grapes, 2 boiled eggs, a tiny, but dreamy piece of multi grain Muesli bread, and a pack of Justin’s honey peanut butter.

Egg White Egg Bites:

The egg white bites have a bit of cheese inside, but they’re really just egg whites with cheese and red & green peppers. At only around 100 calories, they are absolutely amazing especially if you want your morning protein, and are breaking up with bread.

Drinks

Instead of the 420 calorie grande Pumpkin Spice Latte, try this: As for a grande blonde roast with almond milk and 1 pump of pumpkin syrup. If this isn’t sweet enough for you, add a stevia or 1 more pump. This is a MUCH better alternative to your holiday favorite drink.

Soy Cappuccino:

This is pretty much self-explanatory but if you’re looking to go dairy free & you’re a cappuccino fiend like myself, soy milk has been the best alternative to dairy cappuccinos for me personally.

Strawberry Acai Refresher (+ Lemonade)

Very Berry Hibiscus or Dragonfruit Refresher

Pink Drink (this is a Strawberry Refresher with coconut milk)

Cold Brew + Almond Milk (for coffee people, not sweet tooths)

Frappucinos are a no. Never. But the healthiest frappe choice, if you must indulge is a Coffee Frappe with Almond Milk & NO WHIP.

Green Tea with Stevia

Chai Latte with Soy

Sugar Free Vanilla Latte with Soy

Last, and my very favorite:

Iced Black Tea with Coconut Milk and 2 pumps of chai

These are my favorite Starbucks drinks, so let me know if you try any of them and how you liked it!
