GIRL BOSS MORNING ROUTINE
Productivity is so important, and I want to discuss my journey with productivity a lot more on my site. Developing a productive routine and having accountability in your life will improve your self sufficiency, and while these things aren’t the most fun to talk about: I want you to live your best lifestyle and I truly believe that without productivity, that is very hard. I’ve lived a life before where I woke up at 12, had no schedule, exercised when I felt like it, and my grades were significantly worse, I was much less happy, and my life became a mess.
Why have I Become a Morning Person?
I love my mornings, I love my skin routine, my almond milk lattes, my morning workouts, and breakfast: the most important and arguably the best meal of the day.
The morning sets the tone for your entire day. Choose to control this time and use it for positive influence on the rest of your day.
Ben Franklin once said, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.”
Set an Alarm Every Night
If you’re looking to develop some productivity, looking at the time you are waking up is the first place to start. If you have trouble waking up early, set an Alarm every single night, not just school nights. This will train your body to wake up earlier, and over time you won’t need an alarm anymore.
Check your iPhone Calendar
The iPhone Calendar has become my best friend. I schedule all of my work outs, work shifts, plans with friends, and appointments on the app and set alerts to remind me. The “time to leave” feature is my lifesaver. It tells me when I need to leave and how the traffic is.
Make Your Bed
This sounds so “duh” but I couldn’t leave it out. Your room looks so much cleaner with a made bed, and making your bed in the morning gets your blood flowing and this is a good habit to form.
Make Breakfast
Starting your day off with a healthy breakfast and a glass of water is great for your metabolism, and gets your brain in the “i’m going to eat healthy today” mindset. I have a few healthy breakfast ideas available here on my site.
Homework
I always do my homework before I exercise while I eat my breakfast and have coffee, this way when I’m done with working out, I’ve gotten my work done for the day and have nothing left to stress about throughout the day.
Go Exercise for 60 minutes
Working out for an hour every single day is a healthy habit to have whether it’s a 60 minute class, a walk, dancing, anything! as long as you are taking the time out of your day to move your body.
“Exercise. Exercise gives you energy. Often we have a false sense that, when we are tired, we need more sleep. That may not be the issue. You need exercise to increase your energy levels. This goes together with eating a healthy diet. Both are important to increase your energy.” - lifehack.org
Dedicate 60 Minutes to your Career/Hobbies
Do you write for a blog? Have a summer job? Want to start a youtube channel? Consistency is key. If you start your day by dedicating time to your hobbies and passions, you will see them come into fruition much more quickly. You will have all of this done before most of your friends are even awake.
